Dr Minsung Kim 金玟成

Biography

Dr. Minsung Kim participated in the University of Hong Kong (HKU), the Department of Law, the Centre for Medical Ethics and Law in May 2021 as a Post-doctoral Fellow. His scholarly research interests involve law, medicine, and bioethics; reproductive contracts; contracts; torts; and product liability. His primary scholarship explores how legal disciplines can keep up with outpaced reproductive technological innovations. His work based on an interdisciplinary study involving the combination of bioethical and legal disciplines aims to narrow down these gaps. His scholarship also examines how legal disciplines of torts and product liability can catch up with technological innovations to protect consumers from mass production and e-commerce platform.

Before joining HKU, Dr. Kim participated in Indiana University Maurer School of Law as a visiting scholar and worked as a legal intern for the Community Legal Clinic at the same school. He received his Doctor of Juridical Science, the Best Dissertation Defense Award, from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
