Biography
Norman is a Senior Teaching Consultant at the University of Hong Kong in the PCLL course and joined the Department of Professional Legal Education in August 2004. He is the course coordinator for Civil Advocacy, Personal Injuries Litigation and was the course coordinator for the Litigation Stream (as it then was).
Norman was called to the Bar in Hong Kong in 1996 and has maintained a practice at the Bar. His practice is focused on intellectual property disputes as well as general civil, commercial and personal injuries cases. He has appeared as counsel in substantive intellectual property related cases, inclusive of appearances in the High Court, Copyright Tribunal and the Trade Marks Registry.
Norman was appointed as Deputy District Judge in July 2012.
Norman was a member of Bar Council from 2007-2009.
Norman is the co-author of Chapter 4: Anton Piller Orders, Delivery Up of Goods & Search Orders – Commercial Litigation in Hong Kong: A Practical Guide, 1st edn., 2012, Thomson Reuters Hong Kong Limited. He is also the co-author of Volume 22, Chapter 3: Remedies, Damages – Halsbury’s Laws of Hong Kong, 2001, Butterworths.

Teaching
Norman joined the Department of the Professional Legal Education in August 2004 as a Teaching Consultant. He teaches Civil Advocacy, Civil Procedure, Professional Practice, Conveyancing (Litigation Stream), Probate (Litigation Stream) and coordinates the Litigation Stream.
Norman received his education in Canada save for his legal studies which were in Hong Kong. He was called to the Hong Kong Bar in 1996 and continues to practice in the areas of intellectual property, personal injuries and general commercial litigation.
